In a land where the sky was made of lemon jelly, and the clouds were fluffy slices of bread, lived the Zorbs. The Zorbs weren’t like any creatures you’d imagine; they had three heads, each speaking a different language – none of which any Zorb could understand. Their homes were floating spheres of multicolored soap bubbles, tethered to the ground with licorice vines.
Every morning, the Zorbs would zizzle. Zizzling, an act where they would simultaneously laugh, sneeze, and dance, was their way of saying good morning to Zephyrus, the invisible wind deity who loved to play pranks. Zephyrus had a habit of rearranging the landscape overnight, sometimes turning rivers into rivers of chocolate or trees into candy canes.
One peculiar day, instead of zizzling, the Zorbs woke up to find their world turned upside down, quite literally. The ground was now the sky, and the sky, being made of jelly, squished underfoot as they walked. Birds swam through the air like fish, and fish flew through the now-ground like birds.
Confused but ever adaptable, the Zorbs decided to hold a meeting on a floating pancake island, where they discussed how to bake a cake that would flip their world back right-side up. Ingredients included stardust, the laughter of a cloud, and a pinch of yesterday’s tomorrow. They mixed these in a giant hat, which somehow turned into a spoon, and then into a giraffe, before finally becoming a cake.
When they tasted this cake, instead of flipping the world, it turned all the Zorbs into various flavors of ice cream. Vanilla-headed Zorbs argued with Chocolate Zorbs about the best way to melt back into normalcy, while Strawberry Zorbs just giggled at the absurdity of it all.
In the end, Zephyrus, amused by the chaos, blew a gust so mighty that it flipped everything back to normal, but left a permanent rainbow as an apology, which now doubled as a bridge to the Moon for intergalactic picnics.
